Golfing Group

Our casual golf outings are held once a month from late March through September at courses around the Comox Valley (Crown Isle, Sunnydale, Glacier Greens, Comox Golf), Qualicum Beach (Arrowsmith, Qualicum Beach Memorial) and Campbell River (Campbell River Golf & Country Club). Most courses are 18 holes with a couple of 9 hole courses where we enjoy 'nine & dine' packages.

No scores are submitted at the end of play and you can submit your own team or we'll pair you up. We tee off in the afternoons and encourage folks to stay for dinner & drinks afterwards. A truly no pressure social golf outing experience.

The golf coordinator arranges our golf bookings and sends out email notifications 3 weeks ahead of each event. ty well.

Hiking Group

The hiking group is active though out the year and has a contact list of approx. 30 club members. Hikes are arranged twice a month, weather permitting, and are usually 10-15 km in length, ranging in difficulty from easy to moderate with the odd difficult trek thrown in. The hikes can take place from as far south as Nanaimo to the other side of Campbell River although most are in the Comox Valley.

Once you are on the contact list a notice of an upcoming hike will be distributed a few days prior to the outing asking for a response from those who plan to attend. We usually get approximately 10 hikers out each time although we did get 19 once this past year to as few as 2.
Driving instructions, weather updates, meeting times etc will be sent the day prior to the hike. We always pack a lunch and take plenty of drinking water.
If this is an activity that interests you we welcome you to join the group.

We hope to see you on the trail enjoying the wondrous outdoors of British Columbia.

Walking Group

The Walking Group meets every Monday.

Objective: stay active.

During the winter, we primarily walk the Courtenay Airpark. Like birds? Like sea views? Like changing colors? Always there. Great views, great walks. During milder weather, we change venues and take suggestions: Lazo Wetlands, the Royston Seawalk, and Seal Bay Park are among our walks.

Get active. Get out. Join the Walking Group.
