Dinner and a Show

Welcome to an evening of fine dining and entertainment!

How this group operates:  We meet a few times a year to discuss different entertainment possibilities which could be live theatre, symphonies, comedians, film, tribute bands, and the list goes on.

Locations could be local or elsewhere on the Island depending on interest and availability.  At that time we will also discuss dining venues and designate someone to make reservations.

Please contact me to sign up and be put on the email list.

Barb Wilson

Quilting Group

The Quilting Group gets together on the third Tuesday of each month. The meetings are held in members' homes, rotating through the group. At each gathering there is a 'show and tell' during which members exhibit their latest creations and discuss techniques and practices.

Following the 'show and tell' light refreshments are served and the group socializes.

Reading Group

The Orca Probus Reading group meets monthly in the morning of the last Friday of the month. Members take turns home hosting with light goodies and leading the discussion on our current book. Book selections are made with input and suggestions from within the group. We welcome diversity in our book selection in order to reach beyond what individual members might normally choose to read. When possible we take advantage of the local library service and willingly share copies between ourselves.

The group currently consists of twelve ladies and includes a few “friends” of Orca PROBUS members.

New members would be welcomed.

Singers Group

Probus Singers and Friends is a casual gathering of individuals who share a love of music. We meet the third Tuesday of each month (except for July and August) from 2:00 – 4:00. No previous music experience is necessary. The lyrics are provided and we have guitars to keep us in tune. You will receive an email reminder each month and no RSVP is necessary. You can just drop in. Email Rod and Debbie Olson to have your name added to the mailing list. Hope to see many of you there.
